Counselling Services I Offer
I offer counselling for a wide variety of issues including PTSD, addiction anxiety, depression, abuse, bereavement or relationship issues.
Additionally, I offer Clinical Supervision for counsellors in Bristol and North Somerset.

PTSD Counselling
I am a trauma expert specialising in PTSD which almost 25% of people who experience either a single index trauma or that of a more complex nature may go on to develop.
The NHS defines Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) as an anxiety disorder caused by very stressful, frightening or distressing events. Although many people believe that only military personnel can develop PTSD it is in fact far more common and can be triggered in those who have experienced any of the following:
serious road accidents
prolonged sexual abuse, violence or severe neglect
military combat
terror attacks
natural disasters
witnessing violent deaths
violent personal assaults, such as sexual assault, mugging or robbery
PTSD can develop immediately after someone experiences a disturbing event or it can occur weeks, months or even years later.

There are times in our lives when we feel unable to cope. Problems arise and we need a confidential safe space to process what is happening and to find ways of moving forward.
